Jaden sat down at the counter to talk to me. Within minutes of him doing so his little shadow (Simon) followed suite and climbed up the stool to sit by him.
Silence is quite alarming in our home these days.As I was in the back room working, I suddenly realized that all was quiet. In attempt to satisfy my curiosity I went searching for the kids.
I found Simon curled up and asleep on the couch next to Jaden with the girls on the floor doing a puppet show. Apparently, Simon fell asleep to the lulling sounds of Jaden reading him a story. This astounds me as Simon is our routine child. He will not usually go to sleep without his blanket, sound machine, dark room and crib.
So sweet!
